History

The history of ServiceXpert stretches back further than its founding date. On 03 July 1998, ServiceXpert was founded as a subsidiary of MAZ Hamburg GmbH. The origin of the company was the "Equipment Condition Monitoring and Diagnostics" working group at the Microelectronics Application Centre (MAZ), Hamburg, which had already been implementing various pilot projects in the diagnostic environment with Hamburg companies since 1992. The conceptual development of the diagnostic system "DiaMon" for commercial vehicles started as early as the beginning of the 1990s.

With the foundation of ServiceXpert, the range of services was extended to further information systems (electronic parts catalogues, documentation) for after sales service.

At the beginning of the year 2000, ServiceXpert became part of the ESG Group and gradually brought together all ESG Group activities within the company for the commercial vehicles and industrial goods market segments.

On 1 July 2002, a second location was established in Munich.

Since 2005, services related to electrics/electronics development for commercial vehicle manufacturers have rounded off the continuously and sustainably growing ServiceXpert portfolio, which is oriented towards state-of-the-art technologies, changing business models and the needs of the industries.

After 18 years as a subsidiary of ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH, the newly founded ESG Mobility GmbH became the sole shareholder of ServiceXpert on 14 August 2018.

ESG Mobility and ServiceXpert have been part vor Cognizant since 01. June 2021. ESG Mobility GmbH has been operating as Cogniszant Mobility GmbH since September 2021.

ServiceXpert and Cognizant Mobility have been merged since 28. June 2023.
