ServiceXpert is a sponsor of the HARD & SOFT student competition and is providing the jury president in Suceava for the first time this year.

From the 22 to the 29 May 2022, the University Stefan cel Mare in Suceava, Romania, will host the 27th International Computer Contest for students of computer hardware and software development. ServiceXpert has been supporting the event as a sponsor and part of the jury for almost 10 years. This year, for the first time, the team of the engineering specialist provides the jury president as well as two jury members.

HARD & SOFT is a contest for teams of senior students of Computer Hardware and Software Engineering (Computer Science), Electronics and Automatic. The students work in teams of four on a given task and have to present their solutions to the jury after five days. The jury will select the winning teams in various categories.

Nicolae Foica, jury president and long-time team member of ServiceXpert, is looking forward to this year's task: "I have known the contest for nine years as part of the jury and am very happy to accompany the contest in a new role this year. We have defined a very exciting task for the students again this year. I am looking forward to the creative, innovative solutions and the ingenuity of the teams."

The contest task will focus on topical areas in Computer Engineering and Information and Communications Technology (ICT) that require a close link between hardware and software, it will require teams to demonstrate a broad spectrum of skills in these areas and a capability to design and implement a working system.

A full specification of the task will be given on the first day of the contest.
