data protection applications

Collection and processing of applicant data

In your application, you provide information about yourself and your profile. We process your personal data in compliance with the provisions of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (DS-GVO), the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and all other relevant laws.

These include the following data categories:

  • Standard data:
    • Applicant master data (job position, first name, name, salutation, place of birth, contact details)
    • Qualification data (cover letter, CV, previous activities, subject-specific qualifications such as (work) certificates and other certificates, etc.)
  • Other Information:
    • Job-related data made public, such as a profile in professional social media networks
    • Voluntary information, such as a candidate photo, information on disability or any other information that you voluntarily provide in your application

The necessity and the extent of the data collection is assessed, i.e. according to the position to be filled. If your desired position involves engaging in highly confidential work, increased personal and / or financial responsibility, or is subject to certain physical and health conditions, more extensive data collection may be required. In order to protect data, such data processing takes place only after completing the selection process and immediately before your recruitment.

In case of an application via mail, the further processing of the data takes place in electronic form.

If hired, your data and records will continue to be used for employment purposes.

Recipient of the data

If no other recipients are named in our privacy policy, only the persons and entities (e.g. human resources, applicable department) will receive your personal data within our company, which will be responsible for the specific application process.

Deletion of applicant data

We will delete your personal information as soon as it is no longer necessary for the above purposes, but at the latest when the legally deletion deadline for applicant data occurs. Accordingly, it may be necessary that personal data is kept for the time in which claims can be asserted against us (statutory limitation periods).

Application via professional social network

In addition, we offer you the opportunity to apply via your profile at professional social media networks (e.g. Xing, LinkedIn). In this case, we may also process your publicly disclosed job-related information. We can also receive personal data via an active profile in the professional networks, as long as you disclose your profile to us in the context of the application process.

Please note that we have no influence on the processing of data by the social network provider you have selected. In this respect, the privacy policy of the respective service applies. We do not control other providers complying with applicable privacy policies unless we are responsible for data processing.

Your application automatically entails consent to the processing of your personal data, which you can revoke against us at any time. This also applies to the revocation of declarations of consent that were given to us before the validity of the General Data Protection Regulation, as before 25 May 2018. Please note that the revocation applies to future disclosures. Processing that took place before the revocation is not affected.
